After an intense and insightful morning session, the afternoon focused on the conditions needed to build a joint governance model for the area—one capable of overcoming regulatory fragmentation and enhancing existing synergies. Discussions also addressed the conservation of ecological integrity, sustainable fishing, and strategies for the management of marine areas and species to strengthen the effectiveness of protection policies and promote an integrated and shared approach.
